Spurs frontrunners for Desire Doue as PSG cool interest in French wonderkid
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for highly rated French midfielder Desire Doue as the North Londoners eye a summer pursuit for the 18-year-old.
French giants Paris-Saint-Germain have also been keen to acquire his services; however, the Ligue 1 champions are not plotting a move for the Rennes midfielder, which comes as a boost to Spurs pursuit of the French starlet.
Desire Doue has been backed to make a big summer transfer following his outstanding performances for his current employers.
North London calling? Tottenham Hotspur make move for French starlet Doue
Multiple reports have tagged White Hart Lane as a possible destination for the Rennes starlet. Journalist Abdellah Boulma sparked transfer rumors by first mentioning Tottenham’s interest in 18-year-old Desire Doue. The Daily Mail then confirmed the Lilywhites’ interest in the midfielder. The latter added that Manchester United and Arsenal have also expressed interest in the 18-year-old.
The report states a figure of £35 million to bid for Desire Doue from Roazhon Park this summer.
As the Premier League trio confines interest in the 18-year-old, French outfit Le10Sport has relayed music to their ears, stating that the Parisians are yet to make any approaches for Doue. The report acknowledges PSG’s liking for the upcoming French prospect; however, he is not on their summer transfer wish list.
Le10Sport adds that Doue seems ‘destined’ to make a ‘big transfer’ in the off-season, and his destination is unlikely to be Paris.
