Bryan Gil set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Tottenham Hotspur will expectedly bid adieu to Bryan Gil this summer, who could reportedly return to Sevilla amid speculations of his Spurs exit, per Fichajes.
Spurs brought the 23-year-old in a £21.6 million transfer, with Erik Lamela moving to Sevilla as part of the deal in what was tagged as a bargain transfer in 2021; however, it has not turned out as per expectations, with the Spaniard struggling to find his feet in England.
His struggles in North London have led to a couple of loan moves away from the club; however, Ange decided to keep him at N17 in the recently concluded season to get a feel for him. Many predicted that his fortunes would turn under the Australian gaffer, although it hasn’t been so, and a lack of minutes under his belt has pushed him to consider moving away from the Premier League giants.
From London back to Seville?
His early career could come full circle as his boyhood side, Sevilla, is interested in securing the Spaniard’s services this summer. Los Nervionenses still believe that the silky winger has the skillset and potential to succeed and are willing to enter negotiations to re-sign him. As the negotiations between the clubs progress, the Spurs faithful will be eager to understand how the deal progresses with his exit, making way for more signings on Tottenham’s roster.
Things could come to a big circle as his future could again have an effect on Erik Lamela’s future. The Sevilla-based club is looking to sell the former Spurs man, which many think could be an indication of them making space to bring in Bryan Gil.
