Pre-June sale? Tottenham eye “huge” offer for Nottingham Forest ace Callum Hudson-Odoi

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi in the upcoming summer transfer window, and the North Londoners could make an offer for the former Chelsea starlet before the conclusion of the ongoing month, per Football Insider.

The Lilywhites are expected to undergo a massive squad overhaul in the off-season as Ange Postecoglou looks to increase the ceiling of his squad and fortify his attempts to continue the progress that he has made at Spurs since signing for the club last summer. While there are multiple players expected to be offloaded, Tottenham are also looking to sign a few ceiling-raisers.

Football Insider’s senior correspondent, Pete O’Rourke, speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, acknowledges the financial situation at City Ground and insists that Nuno Espírito Santo’s side may be forced to sell before the turn of the month before submitting their financial statements at the end of June to avoid committing any further spending breaches.

The North Londoners have been monitoring Callum Hudson-Odoi following a string of impressive performances from the Cobham graduate. He could move from Forest after just one year at the club, and O’Rourke insists that his current employers could end up making a “huge” profit on the 23-year-old after signing a £5 million deal from the Blues last summer.

The officials at Tottenham are said to be planning to sign multiple attackers this summer, and the English international is one of the players they are targeting in the wide forward area.

This is not the first time Spurs would be looking to sign the Chelsea academy graduate, as the Lilywhites hold a long-term interest in the player who was regarded as one of the golden boys in his upbringing years at Stamford Bridge.
