Leeds United refuse to throw the towel in for Tottenham star Joe Rodon
As per Leeds Live, EFL club Leeds United are interested in retaining Wales defender Joe Rodon in a permanent deal from Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds missed the opportunity to gain the promotion to the Premier League after losing to Southampton in the Championship play-off at Wembley last month.
Rodon, who completed a magical spell with the ‘whites’, has impressed the fans at Elland Road. The Swansea product was signed for Spurs in a five-year deal in 2020. He has appeared in 15 games for the Lillywhites. Rodon was sent to Leeds last summer.

The Wales international played 50 games with the English club and became one of the prominent players for the club in such a short period. Rodon’s performance played a crucial role for the ‘Whites’ in their march to Wembley for the playoff.
As the loan period ended in May, the 26-year-old returned to N17. Leeds tactician Daniel Farke, who is focusing on reinforcing his defenders in the club, want the Spurs star back in his squad. But the signing will not be easy for Leeds, as Southampton, who is preparing to play in the Premier League after a break, is targeting the same defender.

Leeds also has so many deals to be done in summer transfers, as they also aiming for players like Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray.
Speaking back in January, Farke opened up his mind about the Rodon;
“There is no doubt we are more than happy with Joe. He is growing into this club more and more, a leader role, you see how much it means to him to wear this white shirt, You know how much I like and value Joe and his importance for the team.”
