Spurs’ interest is considered to be genuine and not of the bare minimum substance, as they have already taken significant steps to woo Eze. Tottenham invited the player’s representatives to Tottenham Hotspur stadium on game days on several occasions last season.
Eze is seen as a key target for Ange Postecoglou this summer as Spurs look to boost offensive options before heading into the new season.
The Arsenal academy reject still has three years left on his current contract at Selhurst Park; however, Tottenham are prepared to pay the release clause to snap his services.

Crook confirms Spurs’ interest in Eze and suggests that the North Londoners’ interest in acquiring Eze is more advanced than City at the moment.
Crook said:
“They’re keen on Eze as well. I reported that on the transfer notebook a few weeks ago. Tottenham’s interest is genuine, but they need to shift players on. I would say that Tottenham’s interest is more advanced (than City’s) in terms of this summer. With City, it would depend on De Bruyne leaving, and we don’t think that will happen this summer, probably more likely next.”
