Former player thinks Tottenham winger's move away from the club is highly likely amid links to Spanish giants

Gil faces White Hart Lane exit after an underwhelming spell

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil has been closing in on his move away from the N17. The Spaniard has been subject to links away from Spurs, with multiple La Liga clubs looking to sign him this summer.

While Gil still has two years left on his current deal at White Hart Lane, it almost looks certain that he will call it a day at Spurs this summer. The silky winger has struggled to find his feet with the North Londoners after making a highly anticipated move to the Premier League giants in 2021.

He has struggled to get a set of consistent minutes wearing the Spurs badge, and things haven’t quite worked out his way.

Gil has been spending ample time on loan to find his confidence and halo back, and when Ange Postecoglou chose to keep him at the club last summer, many thought he could rejuvenate his time at Tottenham and finally kick off his career in the English top tier.

However, he played only 12 games and played less than 250 minutes

Girona open talks with Tottenham Hotspur for Bryan Gil

Daniel Levy & Co. are finally looking to be 23 years old this summer. Spanish giants Girona are keen on acquiring the former Sevilla winger and are said to have opened talks with the Lilywhites over a possible move, per Mundo Deportivo.

Savinho’s loan spell at Girona has come to an end, and they need to sign a new right winger to continue to compete in the Spanish top tier.

While a move for Gil comes as a surprise owing to his struggles at White Hart Lane, they have already established contacts with Tottenham over a possible move.
