Dane Scarlett unhappy at Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur have youngsters at plenty at Ange Postecoglou’s disposal, and some of the upcoming players will need to be sent on loan to ensure their progressive development; highly rated striker at Hotspur Way Dane Scarlett could be one of those faces heading out on loan.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, John Wenham, suggests that the academy graduate has been unhappy with his situation with the club.
The 20-year-old featured wearing the Tottenham badge in the pre-season games against Hearts and QPR, while grabbing a goal in the latter.
And the podcast host is hopeful that a successful big loan could help Dane Scarlett kickstart his career at Tottenham.
Loan move needed?
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham said:
“I think Scarlett will go out on loan this summer. It was good for him to get on the scoresheet against QPR. I just miss seeing him play with a smile on his face.
“He doesn’t appear happy at the moment. Therefore, I think a good loan will help him rediscover his confidence.
“Wherever he goes he will get goals. I think he has been a little bit forgotten about due to his struggles on loan previously, but he is a fantastic finisher.
“I think he is just one positive loan away from his career really taking off.”
It feels like he has been around the club for a long time without any consistent performances under his belt. He made his debut relatively young, and many fans could quickly forget that he is still young and hence has ample time to establish himself at White Hart Lane.
He would be hoping that a loan switch could help him boost his chances of becoming a regular under Ange Postecoglou.
