Fabrizio Romano gives latest update on Emerson Royal's AC Milan move

Emerson Royal Nearing Milan Move

Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has been linked with a White Hart Lane exit this summer. The South American defender has been subject to intense links with Italian giants AC Milan; however, the transfer has not concluded despite aggressive pursuit by the Serie A side.

Emerson already has an agreement on personal terms in place with Milan, although the Milan Reds are struggling to find common terms on fees with Daniel Levy, who is known as a tough negotiator, and he has lived up to that once again.

That may change soon, as both clubs are expected to meet for one final time to explore the possibility of taking Emerson Royal to San Siro.

Milan’s persistence is about to reap formidable dividends as Fabrizio Romano comes up with the latest update surrounding the player and his potential transfer to the Italian top tier. The renowned journalist suggests that a fee in the range of €15 million plus add-ons is about to go through and that the two clubs are scheduled to hold a final round of talks tomorrow to close the deal.

Emerson Royal’s saga has stretched beyond its limit, and many Tottenham supporters would just want to hear the end of it, but both clubs will have to find common terms for that to happen, which could be the case soon.

With Emerson likely out the door, we will see if Ange Postecoglou fortifies attempts to bring in a new player in the right-back position. He does have Djed Spence and Archie Gray as understudies to Pedro Porro in the role.
