Tottenham are expecting a mega offer from Saudi Arabia for Richarlison

According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are expecting a “huge offer” from the Saudi Pro League for Richarlison in the next few days.

Since arriving in a deal worth £50million from Everton in 2022, Richarlison has faced challenging times at Tottenham. The Brazil international’s first season in north London was particularly disappointing, with only one goal in the Premier League which came in the epic 4-3 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

However, his second campaign was miles better than the first, scoring 11 goals in the Premier League and adapting to head coach Ange Postecoglou’s style of play and demands. Despite missing many games through injury, the versatile forward ended up registering 12 goals and four assists in 31 games across all competitions.

But that has supposedly not entirely convinced Ange Postecoglou of the 27-year-old’s ability, as Spurs are open to offers for the Brazilian forward this summer. The aforementioned report adds that Richarlison has already received a lucrative package to make the switch to the Saudi Pro League. This would mean a significant pay hike to his £90,000 per week contract at Spurs. The South American forward is understood to be considering his options.

Saudi Arabian clubs are planning to continue their growth and increase the exposure of their league through high-profile signings from the Premier League and other leagues across Europe. Despite his underwhelming time at Spurs, Richarlison does have a strong reputation in the transfer market which is why the Middle East clubs are trying to lure him away from Spurs.

With a huge offer expected to be tabled in the coming days for the 27-year-old, the Lilywhites will be left with less than a month to find a successor. If Richarlison’s sale goes through, Spurs perhaps already have a plan in place to replace him.

Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke is a top target with Ange Postecoglou keen to sign a new No.9 this summer. The north London outfit have held talks with Bournemouth over a transfer, although they are unlikely to meet Solanke’s £65million release and would make a bid below that price tag.

Our club’s pursuit of a new striker—presumably Solanke—largely hinges on Richarlison’s future. Spurs are prepared to offload him but the potential offer from Saudi Arabia must fulfil our demands. The next couple of days will be crucial.
