Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to sign a marquee striker in the ongoing summer transfer window, and they are about to land the person they expect to take on the Harry Kane reins at White Hart Lane.
The North Londoners have been looking to sign a marquee striker for a while, with multiple players having links with a move to Tottenham, and Ange Postecoglou has been keen to bring a clinical presence upfront to ensure that he doesn’t go into another season shy of goals.
Tottenham set to land Kane replacement in Dominic Solanke
Daniel Levy is about to give in to the Australian gaffer’s demands as they fortify interests in bringing Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Solanke has been linked with a move to Spurs for some time, and the club have finally materialized interest in landing his signatures.
Agreement reached!
Club insider Paul O’Keefe suggests that the Lilywhites have agreed on a £57 million deal with the Cherries for a potential deal with £30 million of the aforementioned amount to be paid upfront. Both clubs are working on the minute add-on details before securing the deal.
Solanke was previously valued at around £65m, which was his release clause. This will see Tottenham sign a striker who can go on to become the point of attack for England for a long time to come, very much like his predecessor.
With Solanke expected through the doors, Spurs would be looking to ensure that he is up and ready going into the first game of the new Premier League season when they face Leicester City.
