Posteoglou dishes out 'credit' as Tottenham see off late storm vs Ferencváros.

Raphinha has been one of the best players in the opening months of the 2024/25 season.

That said, the Brazil international remains linked with moves away from Catalonia owing to his current employers’ financial predicament.

Despite the links, the player is keen on staying.

Long-term Tottenham target Raphinha insists he wants to stay at Barça

As reported by Goal, Barcelona forward Raphinha wants to remain at the club despite links to Tottenham and Man United.

Barça’s financial woes persist despite their commendable start to the season, leaving few of their players out of the transfer loop for long. The emergence of Lamine Yamal has also made Raphinha even more of a prospect the Blaugrana may look to make a profit off in the coming months.

Now in his third season at Barcelona, the Brazil international has been in sensational form under Hansi Flick, playing both centrally and out wide as per requirement and having already delivered six goals and four assists in ten appearances across all competitions.

Currently valued by Transfermarkt at €50 million, the 27-year-old has in place a €12.5m-per-year contract keeping him at Camp Nou until June 2027.

If you’re at Barça, it’s not in your hands

We have seen in recent months that, once they deem a player an asset they can get good money for, Barça are not averse to push him out even at the expense of being disrespectful.

Whether Flick would make much of a fuss if a key player were to be sold remains to be seen, but if serious interest were to materialise in a proper approach with big money, Barça would not take long in ostracising any player.

That said, it is unlikely Tottenham will break the bank for a player any time soon.
