Tottenham Hotspur continued their winning streak with a win against Ferencvaros in the Europa League earlier today, and Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou spoke his mind about how the Lilywhites academy starlet Mikey Moore performed.
The Greek-born tactician made a bold decision to make wholesale changes and start academy graduates in Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear tonight. And while the latter enjoyed a decent display, the former sealed the headlines with his extravagant performance against the Hungarian side.

Moore played a critical role in both Spurs goals, and the Lilywhites head coach spoke very highly about Moore in his post-match press conference.

“His ability to just deal with pressure and keep the ball in really tight areas and make really good clean decisions for such a young boy. It’s not easy out there when defenders fly in and he took one within the first 30 seconds, but he drives on.
“He’s got so much growth and he wants to learn. I couldn’t be happier with him and I’m very pleased that he’s part of our football club.”
Could Mikey Moore feature against Brighton?
The majority of the Lilywhites faithful are aware of how highly regarded players they possess in Moore and the ceiling that the teenager has. At only 17, he went away to the Hungarian champions and played a highly impressive game against a physical side.
With the injury crisis at White Hart Lane as of now, Ange would be hoping that he can get some similar performances from Moore when the Lilywhites take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend. Spurs would be missing Heung-min Son on the flank, and Ange is expected to stick with Timo Werner—but does that mean Moore has an opportunity to impress from the bench?

We will see what happens at the weekend, but for now, Moore can be proud of the shift he put in against the Hungarian champions.
