Real Madrid earmark flying Tottenham wide-man to 2025 transfer wishlist

Former Tottenham scout slams Pedro Porro transfer admission.

Real Madrid have been reportedly sniffing around Tottenham once again, this time for a defender.

Los Blancos are looking to go for Spurs’ Argentine centre-back Cristian Romero, for whom the Lilywhites are demanding around £150 million.

However, the reigning La Liga champions may be going for another Tottenham defender.

Real Madrid add Tottenham star Pedro Porro to transfer wishlist

As reported by TBR Football, Real Madrid are also looking to go after Tottenham fullback Pedro Porro in the coming months.

The former Man City player has been a mainstay in the Spurs back line ever since arriving from Sporting last year for €45 million.

All of Porro’s appearances for Spurs this season barring one have come in the Premier League: six games, one goal.

Valued by Transfermarkt at €45 million, Porro has at Spurs a £85k-per-week contract set to run until June 2028.

Why would Spurs want Porro?

Dani Carvajal is ageing but still very much at the top of his game, and Fede Valverde is incredibly versatile, occupying any role on the right-hand side, which begs the question: what would Real Madrid want Porro for?

One can say that tactical nuance is not the first thing Los Blancos look at when monitoring a player, but one can also make an argument for them going for a right-back of a profile they do not currently have in their setup.

Porro is an attack-minded fullback capable of operating both out wide and in the central areas. At the very least he’d offer something new to work with. Maybe a combined offer for both him and Romero could tempt Spurs just enough to go for it.
