Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has been a consistent presence in the treatment room, as the Brazilian international has confirmed to bring his injury along the following season. However, he is expected to come back into the Lilywhites fold after the international break as Ange Postecoglou’s side prepare for their fixture against West Ham when the Premier League resumes.
The Greek-born tactician has some positive injury news coming his way as he receives triple boast going into the game against the Hammers, as the likes of Son, Odobert, and Richarlison are expected to train with the team in the upcoming week.
While getting the South Korean back is a huge boost for Tottenham, having Richy back should give Ange a technical mobile profile on the bench who can play variant roles and bring something different to the game. This is something that the North Londoners have missed for the 2024/25 campaign, and if Richarlison is fit, it would be an underrated injury return in Spurs head coach books.
Will Richarlison return shake up Tottenham’s starting XI?
That being said, former Spurs scout Bryan King doesn’t believe that the former Everton star will start for Tottenham against West Ham next Saturday. He argues that between Dominic Solanke and Richarlison, it is a clear pick for the first team.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, King said:
“Richarlison does nothing to please me, to be honest. Getting Odobert back is interesting, he gives Spurs another dimension. However, in terms of Solanke or Richarlison, who does he play?
“I can’t see Richarlison starting against West Ham. However, it does give Postecoglou another interesting option off the bench.”
It should be a while before we see £90,000 gross per week Brazilian international Richy start for Tottenham over Solanke; however, it is important that the 27-year-old stays fit and continues to build his match fitness.
