Tottenham Hotspur skipper Son Heung-min has been suffering with an injury off late, as the South Korean is carrying a thigh injury that has sidelined the 32-year-old since he picked up the niggle in the Lilywhites’ Europa League fixture against Qarabag.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star is an integral presence on and off the pitch, as his leadership is of great influence in the dressing room at Hotspur Way, and the absence of it has left Spurs in dire straits, especially last weekend when they gave away a 2-0 lead against Brighton as the Seagulls completed a memorable comeback at the American Express Stadium.
Tottenham hopeful Son will be fit for West Ham clash
With Son missing out on South Korean duties for October’s international break as he continues his rehabilitation at Tottenham Hotspur Way, many expect him to be available for Tottenham when they resume Premier League duties next Saturday as they face West Ham. Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar claims that Spurs skipper will have to pass a late fitness test before his return at White Hart Lane.

He insists that the thigh problem doesn’t appear to be any serious; however, a late test should determine if he is ready to play ninety minutes or not. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Dr. Brar said:
“It sounds like he should be back after the international break. Key indicators will be his availability and response to team training during the break. He will need to pass a late fitness test, and his playing the full 90 minutes will depend on how he trains.“
Tottenham needs to ensure that they don’t rush back Son too quickly, as his fitness and long-term availability are very important for the Lilywhites.
