“Season three…”- Ange Postecoglou drops major hint on his Tottenham Hotspur future

Ange Postecoglou has no intentions of leaving Tottenham anytime soon
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has just etched his name in the club’s history books. The Australian has done the unthinkable and ended the North London club’s 17-year wait for a major trophy. The Lilywhites won the Europa League on Wednesday night after beating Manchester United 1-0 in an enthralling final. This win also ensured Champions League football at N17 for next season.
Big Ange has been under all sorts of scrutiny in recent months regarding the performances on the pitch. Although Spurs have won the Europa League, one must not forget that the club is 17th in the Premier League table with one game to go and they have still not crossed the 40-point mark.

However, it is fair to say that the Spurs manager delivered on his promise of winning a trophy in his second season at a club. Big Ange had promised the Tottenham fans that he would win a trophy, and he did just that. The 59-year-old might still lose his job in the end but, it is fair to say that Ange Postecoglou can leave N17 with his head held high after delivering a historic result.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou backs himself to do well next season
Tottenham’s trophy parade on Friday was a sight for sore eyes. It was a perfect opportunity for the fans and the players to reconnect after a dismal domestic campaign. And more importantly, it was a chance for the fans to enjoy a special evening after watching the club win its first major trophy in 17 years.
While many were wondering what would happen to Ange Postecoglou in the future, the Australian took it upon himself and gave hints of staying at N17. The Australian told the fans (as transcribed by Goal),
“I told them and they laughed. I told them and they didn’t believe. But here we are. And we’re here because of this unbelievable group of people, the players, the staff, absolute heroes, led by the legend, Son Heung-Min, Cuti Romero, James Maddison, and Guglielmo Vicario.”
The Spurs manager added,
“All of them, heroes, and they did it all for you. Because you deserve it. This club deserves it. And I’ll tell you something, I’ll leave you with this, all the best television series, season three is better than season two!”
Ange Postecoglou suggested that people laughed and did not believe him when he said he won trophies in his second season at a club. The ex-Celtic boss then took the time out to thank the players and the staff for ensuring that Spurs got over the line in the final. The Australian ended his speech by saying that season three would be better than season two (hinting he is going to stay beyond the summer).

Now, Daniel Levy has a massive task of deciding Big Ange’s future at the helm. The Spurs chairman has already spoken to several managers to replace Ange Postecoglou at the helm. But after watching the connect between the fans and the ex-Celtic boss, it will not be an easy task to replace the 59-year-old.
