Club Brugge starlet Ardon Jashari is being monitored by Tottenham after his deal with AC Milan has stalled
Tottenham Hotspur have finally started showing their ambition in the 2025 summer transfer market, as new boss Thomas Frank aims to enjoy a strong first season in North London.
After signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, Spurs triggered Morgan Gibbs-White’s £60m release clause at Nottingham Forest. Medical tests for Gibbs-White were scheduled for Friday last week, only for it be put on a standby after Nottingham Forest lodged a formal complaint against the North Londoners’ ‘illegal’ pursuit of the player.
It looks like Tottenham are now focusing on improving their midfield unit after last season’s struggles to control games. Ange Postecoglou tried both Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma as a single pivot, but neither of them showcased discipline and tactical nous to essay that role, leaving Spurs wide open in the middle of the park almost in every game bar the Europa League final.

This makes the signing of a defensive midfielder extremely vital this summer. Bayern Munich’s Joao Palhinha has reportedly emerged as a target of late. In addition, Spurs are also keeping tabs on an exciting talent from Club Brugge.
Tottenham interested in Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari
According to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Tottenham are among several clubs keeping close tabs on AC Milan’s bid for Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari. Everton, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham United are monitoring the situation, as AC Milan’s deal for the Swiss starlet continues to stall.
AC Milan have been in dialogue with Club Brugge for weeks now, trying to gauge the actual price for Ardon Jashari. Their latest offer worth up to £32 million continues to be on the table, meaning the move is on stand by. However, the Rossoneri are now planning to walk away from the deal if they cannot quickly agree on terms with Club Brugge.

This has raised the prospect of the 22-year-old being attainable, with many Premier League clubs closely watching how the Milan saga unfolds. The aforementioned report claims that Club Brugge do not want to lose Jashari, who has been likened to Arsenal star Declan Rice.
Spurs must pounce on Ardon Jashari if Milan walk away
If Milan decide to walk away, Tottenham must not hesitate to pounce on Jashari. The Swiss starlet can play in multiple positions in midfield, but he is predominantly a No.6- a profile Frank’s team lacks currently. Adding a player like Jashari will bring much-needed balance to the North London side, whilst improving the overall quality of the squad.
By offloading the wantaway Bissouma, Tottenham must replace the Mali international with the Brugge man.
