Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to finalise exits for some of the promising young talents along the doors at Hotspur Way as the Lilywhites progress a deal in place which will see Luton Town take away goalkeeper Josh Keeley in the ongoing summer transfer window.
If we start to talk about the North Londoners window, it has been a decent window so far with the headline arrival of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, but then we are seeing the Morgan Gibbs-White transfer to Tottenham being dragged on longer than expected, and now as we head into the week of pre-seasons, there is still more business for Daniel Levy to do on both ends (outgoings and incomings).
Luton closing in on Josh Keeley

If we are talking about the outgoing, 22-year-old shot-stopper Josh Keeley, he is edging closer to a permanent exit to Luton with Football. London is reporting that the North Londoners have agreed on a fee with Luton for Keeley, who is expected to seal the transfer in the next 24 hours. And a sell-on clause is expected to be included in the transfer which shows how the Lilywhites still rate the Irish goalkeeper very highly with a keen belief that he has the potential to develop into a top-tier talent down the line.
If we are talking about Tottenham, at the moment Guglielmo Vicario is firmly established as the #1 at N17, with Kinsky taking up the backuprole following his arrival at Hotspur Way in the winter transfer window. Now as we are talking about Keeley, it doesn’t look like he has a clear pathway into the first team at Tottenham, so it is a wise decision for the North Londoners to let him go in search of regular minutes under his belt.
Strong loan sets up permanent transfer for Keeley
The 22-year-old has been impressive in the last season, which he spent on loan at Leyton Orient, where he recorded 16 clean sheets and also ended up scoring a goal in the FA Cup. And his presence led his temporary employers to reach the playoffs and only to fall short against Charlton Athletic.
And we did see Tottenham trying to enter into new discussions with Keeley over a possible new deal, but talks didn’t progress, and now we are seeing interest compounding from the Championship and League One teams, with Luton moving quickly and are now set to wrap things up.

Levy is trimming the squad smartly
With Josh Keeley’s departure, it again frees up some space in the roster at Hotspur Way, and with expectations of another couple of departures in the striking department and in the midfield before the deadline, it shall make room for Daniel Levy to bring in some more players through the door at N17.
