Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing an ambitious summer move for Real Madrid star Rodrygo
Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in a new forward at Hotspur Way this summer transfer window as Daniel Levy looks to raise the quality and depth of the players available to new head coach Thomas Frank as we near the commencement of the new campaign.
And in order to bring a new forward, Daniel Levy has identified Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo Goes as a possible target as he looks to deliver on bolstering the attacking options next season. While many dismissed this one as rumours when the story initially came out, the club has now put their money where their mouth is as the Lilywhites launch an ambitious €100 million (£86 million) bid to sign the Brazilian forward this summer, per fichajes.
Rodrygo is still hesitant about a move

If we talk about the attacking talent in Europe at the moment, the 24-year-old would definitely be somewhere along the top, given that he is really versatile and has shown his capacity to perform in big moments during his time at Madrid. But at the moment, Rodrygo has been linked with a move away from La Liga, and Tottenham have officially approached Madrid looking to get permission to open talks directly with the player.
And while that offer mentioned above is quite substantial, Rodrygo is still hesitant about moving to North London. The forward is said to be looking at the current rebuilding phase at Hotspur Way as a possible step down, particularly given that he is consistently pushing for big titles at Bernabeu.
This is where Levy needs to earn his money

This is where Daniel Levy needs to earn his money; we know the 63-year-old to have that convincing power which has seen the North Londoners sign a lot of top players despite their initial concerns, with the latest being Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, and he will have to do a job to bring Rodrygo to Hotspur Way. We know that the recent UEFA Europa League triumph shows that the club is moving in the right direction, but you would believe that the Brazilian will likely need further assurances of the Lilywhites ability to challenge at the highest levels consistently.

Tottenham are looking to bring in someone who can take all the spotlight in that eleven, given that right now with Heung-Min Son on his way to MLS, it would mean that the current roster would desperately crave that, and Rodrygo could be the guy to do so, provided that Tottenham can secure his signature.
