Mikey Moore signs new long-term contract with boyhood club Tottenham amid loan to Rangers
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that prodigious talent Mikey Moore has signed a new long-term deal.
Currently on a season-long loan at Scottish club Rangers, the winger celebrated his 18th birthday on Monday in style with a new deal. He made his senior competitive debut at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, featuring against Manchester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Last season turned out to be a breakout one for Mikey Moore as he made 21 appearances in all competitions, registering a goal and two assists. He became the youngest player to start a Premier League match for the Lilywhites since Stephen Carr in September 1993 in their 1-0 away defeat to Crystal Palace last October.

The teenager could have easily enjoyed more opportunities had it not been for him contracting a bad virus in late October. This led to the England youth international getting sidelined for several months and, once he fully recovered, he found it difficult to break into the senior team due to the return of several senior stars from injury issues.
New contract is a sign of trust from Tottenham
A highly-rated player throughout his time in the academy, Moore is tipped for greatness at Tottenham. The north London club and our fans have high hopes for the freshly turned 18-year-old, who is a living proof that if you are good enough, you will get fast-tracked into the first team.
As new head coach Thomas Frank has several options in attack, it was decided that Moore will be heading out on loan to Rangers. He joined the Scottish giants on August 1 in what is a straight loan agreement, with no option or obligation to make the move permanent, as Spurs consider the fleet-footed attacker an important part of their future.

The teenager is yet to make his debut for Russell Martin’s side but the north London club officials expect him to have a big impact in the Scottish Premiership. And the new, long-term deal is further signal that the club highly regards Moore and feel the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the right place for him to unlock his true potential.
High hopes from Moore
It has been quite some time since Harry Kane rose through the ranks at Tottenham and announced himself on the big stage. Since his debut, not a single player from our famed academy has been able to replicate even a fraction of what Kane produced at the club.
However, things feel different with Moore. He screams talent and crazy potential to be unlocked. Fans have already seen flashes of his high potential- both in the academy and first team. The Southwark native’s talent has to be nurtured carefully, which makes his loan move at Rangers extremely vital.
If he is nurtured properly and managed to hit the expected heights, Moore could be the next big superstar to have come up the ranks after the mercurial Kane.
