Tottenham Hotspur will need to find a way to get a result against an inspired West Ham United this weekend
Tottenham are looking to bounce back from their defeat against Bournemouth in the Premier League as they take on West Ham United this weekend. The Lilywhites have endured a strong start to the new season under Thomas Frank, registering two wins in the first three league games of the new campaign. One of those wins also came against the mighty Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
However, the North London club fell short of the mark in their last game before the international break earlier this month. Thomas Frank’s men suffered defeat at the hands of Bournemouth at home in an unexpected turn of events. Not many fans expected Spurs to get dominated by the opposition from minute-one. But credit where its due, the Cherries thoroughly deserved to take the three points from that game.

Well, the international break came at the right time for Thomas Frank, as the Dane must have taken the time to figure out how to get back to winning ways. The Lilywhites need a strong result against West Ham, or else the club will surely start going into a downward spiral in no time.
Tottenham hoping for a positive result in upcoming PL game
All eyes will be on Tottenham this weekend as they will take on a charged up West Ham United in the Premier League. The hostile atmosphere at the London Stadium will not do any favours to Thomas Frank’s men, especially Mohammed Kudus, as the Ghanaian returns to face his former club. West Ham will come into this game with confidence after a statement win against Nottingham Forest before the international break.
Well, John Wenham believes that the game will not be straightforward for the Lilywhites. Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham said,
“I think it’s a huge game to be playing right now. I think it’s very, very frustrating from Tottenham’s point of view that West Ham had that big win at Forest, where the three goals came in the last five minutes, but totally changed the feeling going into this game.”
The Lilywhite Rose owner added,
“Now they’ll be feeling confident and up for it, whereas I think before they were feeling quite resigned to defeat before a ball’s been kicked, which would have played into Tottenham’s hands.”
John Wenham believes that Tottenham might be facing West Ham at the wrong time after the Hammers’ statement win against Nottingham Forest. The Lilywhite Rose owner also believes that Graham Potter’s men will be confident to cause an upset against Spurs after a resounding win last time around. Wenham points out that the North London club has lost the advantage of having the upper hand in the game due to West Ham’s turn in form.
Now, the Spurs fans will hope that their players can block out the noise and focus on the task at hand. On paper, the game should be straightforward for the Lilywhites in all honesty. So, Thomas Frank must ensure that his players stick to the basics and play their natural game to ensure the three points head towards N17 once the weekend ends.
