Tottenham planning a move for Harry Gray

Tottenham Hotspur remained busy throughout the last summer transfer window and made significant changes to their team during this time by bringing in up to 9 new players, while also overseeing the departures of some of their own players.

Now, with the market ended, one would have expected there to be relative calm at the club in regards to transfer activity. However, this is not turning out to be the case, as Spurs continue to get linked with several players, including some on which they missed out during the transfer window.

In fact, as per a report from TeamTalk, the North London side can actually sign a new player in the coming months, even with the transfer market closed. This could happen as the Lilywhites are looking to raid Leeds United by signing Harry Gray, the younger brother of their midfielder Archie Gray.

Leeds are looking to sign a professional contract with them once he reaches 17 years of age on October 8th, but Tottenham are planning to do the same, if they are able to persuade him to join his brother in their team before that.

Spurs have been linked with the youngster for quite a while now

Just around a year ago, Spurs had got Archie from Leeds United for £40 million, and at the time of that transfer, they were also linked with his younger brother, who was just making his breakthrough with Leeds. Ultimately, only Archie arrived at Spurs, but the North London side continued monitoring the younger of Gray brothers, and now, they are looking to make another move to bring him into their team.

In addition to Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle United are also interested in the 16-year-old forward. However, losing such a promising player would be a huge blow to Leeds United, especially as they have also lost some other highly interesting youngster, including Archie Gray and Charlie Cresswell last summer.

The journalist Graeme Bailey recently indicated that Gary’s father is also in favor of his younger soon remaining at Leeds for now, and although he would be a very exciting signing for Tottenham, it remains to be seen how Harry’s future shapes up as he reaches a personal and professional milestone.
