Tottenham Hotspur could recall Mikey Moore in the January transfer window
We saw Tottenham Hotspur making a development decision when the decision-makers at Hotspur Way decided to loan Mikey Moore to Rangers. But the club could be set to make another key call about the teenager after his loan move with the Scottish giants has not picked up as expected.
The 17-year-old is seen as one of the best prospects coming out of the academy at Hotspur Way in recent years. And he did get a run-in with the first team, making 19 appearances under Ange Postecoglou last season. But given that the North Londoners brought in a lot of players in that wide forward role in the recently concluded summer window, the Lilywhites ended up sending him out on loan to get some consistent minutes elsewhere.
Moore had a lot of interest in summer window

If we look back at that summer, there was a lot of interest in Moore. The likes of Birmingham City and Dortmund wanted to grab his signatures on a permanent transfer. But rather than losing him on a permanent transfer, we saw Tottenham send him to Ibrox for a temporary spell.
And if we talk about that on paper, then it did look like Rangers can give a lot to Moore. They play European football, and there is pressure to perform every week under pressure. But then, given how Russell Martin has been playing, he is not making a lot out of Moore. And he has been struggling to make an impact for his temporary employers.
Should Tottenham recall Moore?

And as per the latest from Football Insider, the Lilywhites are said to have put in a recall clause in the loan deal. And it looks like Tottenham are seriously considering using it when January comes around, as the Premier League heavyweights are frustrated at how Moore’s development has been going in the past weeks in Scotland.
The Lilywhites faithful love the boy. And it is simple for Tottenham; Moore is too talented to have this sort of stop in his development. Many see him as the future of the offensive core that the North Londoners want to have in the attack with the likes of Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert.
And with Thomas Frank in charge, Tottenham have a coach who is known to bring the best out of young players. The Dane coach is certainly someone who can aid Moore’s development and help him come into his potential.
