We see Tottenham supporters getting excited about a young talent every other month, and many Lilywhites faithful have been daydreaming about Tyrese Hall this season.
Tyrese Hall has been impressing at Notts Country

The 19-year-old midfielder, who is currently on loan at Notts County, has made a stunning start to life in senior football. He has found the back of the net four times in four games. And this had started a line of praise for the composure and creativity that he possesses.
And looking at those numbers, there is already a section of the Lilywhites fanbase who have begun calling for his immediate recall. And that is understandable given how a lot of Tottenham’s goalscoring depth in Dejan Kulusevski and Maddison is serving the sidelines for the long term. But John Wenham, who is the owner of Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, calls it madness to think about recalling the teenager.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham insists that Tottenham should not be recalling Tyrese Hall under any circumstances. He said:
“He’s probably played six senior games his entire life, men’s football games.
“So no, he can’t come in for Joao Palhinha or Rodrigo Bentancur, who’s played 175 times and has scored winning penalties away to Brazil and things like that. No, he can’t.
“You won’t find a bigger advocate of youth players than me, but I’m just telling you as a fact, he needs games. He must go out this year.”
Tottenham making the most out of Tyrese Hall loan
If we walk back to the summer transfer window, the North Londoners loaned Hall with specific intentions. For a young player like him, it is important to give him that run-in into men’s football, and he was sent on loan to be around in that competitive and physical environment.
Before now, the move could not have gone better. Hall has not just adjusted to League One, but he has flourished quite quickly in no time. He has earned this reputation as one of the young midfield stars in League One. There are comparisons with Dele Alli, given how Hall moves and the things he does on the pitch.
He is someone who can play through the lines and dominate tempo when on the ball. But he also has this knack of arriving late in dangerous spaces into the box. But he is not someone who brings chaos; he is more of someone who oozes that calmness when on the ball.
But the thing is, at Notts County he has been given a lot of licences, and that is something that Thomas Frank cannot do at the moment at N17.
It is a move that is paying off. And there is not much Tottenham should do given the progress that Hall has been having this season.
