Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Brazilian sensation Bruninho
Tottenham Hotspur are following this long-term plan, with Vinai Venkatesham leading the thing from the top alongside Thomas Frank. The duo with the current scouting team are becoming more and more apparent every day in identifying high-ceiling talent as early as possible.
But it’s not just that; identifying them is followed by forming a clear path to develop them into their potential. And the latest player eyed by the North Londoners is Bruninho from Athletico Paranaense.
Tottenham face competition for Bruninho

The Lilywhites are said to be interested in signing the 17-year-old Brazilian midfielder who is tipped as one of the best talents coming from the South American continent as of now, as per recent reports by Itatiaia Esporte. Bruninho is yet to make his first-team debut for his current employers but has already been promoted to train with the main squad and could feature before the end of the ongoing Brazilian season.
But Tottenham are not alone in the pursuit of the teenager, with the likes of Real Betis and Zenit Saint Petersburg also following his development closely.
That being said, Bruninho recently renewed his contract with Athletico, with the Brazilian side reportedly viewing him as one of their most valuable young assets. And this is where the potential suitors will have to woo the player as well as his current employers into a possible sale.
Tottenham’s recent move for South American talents

We saw the Lilywhites bring Alejo Veliz to Hotspur Way a couple of years back. And while his move to N17 hasn’t quite worked out, it has created a pathway for others. And over the past weeks, there have been reports of the North Londoners looking to sign Brazilian forward Rayan given his impressive performances for Vasco da Gama.
And now the North Londoners have set their sights on the 17-year-old midfielder.
TTLB Opinion
This is exactly the kind of transfer that Tottenham should be making given the transfer strategy that the club has adopted of late. Now it’s easy to realise that Bruninho is not a player for today but someone who is going to make things happen in a couple of years or so.
He does have that technical capacity to become a lynchpin at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, provided his development hits the right spots.
