Randal Kolo Muani and Kota Takai to be available for Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa
Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed an impressive start to the 2025/26 season. And Thomas Frank can get a timely lift as the Lilywhites return to Premier League football this weekend, as two key players are in line to return from injury as the North Londoners prepare to host Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham are third in the table after that 2-1 win over Leeds United before the international hiatus. And now the Dane coach will have a couple of critical players returning, as Frank’s squad could finally begin to look whole again.
Randal Kolo Muani primed for return

Daniel Levy raised a few eyebrows when he brought in Randal Kolo Muani on deadline day as the French forward joined on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. Andy, this move brought in a striker with Champions League pedigree.
But then he has not quite had a run-in donning that Lilywhites badge, given that he had an untimely dead leg that limited him to just 13 minutes of action since arriving in North London.
And the long wait to have a look at him wearing Spurs colours could be over, as, according to The Standard, Kolo Muani played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford during the ongoing international hiatus. He went on to play for 45 minutes, and more importantly, he came through unscathed.
With another week of full training ahead, the 26-year-old is expected to be in contention for the matchday squad against Villa. There is a possibility that Thomas Frank does hand him a second-half cameo as the Lilywhites look to build his fitness.
Frank will also get Kota Takai boost

Alongside Muani, there is also a possibility that Kota Takai makes his mark in Tottenham colours. The £5 million January signing from Kawasaki Frontale has yet to make his competitive debut for Tottenham. But it does look like he has recovered from a plantar fascia issue which kept him on the sidelines for over a month.
Given that he can play down the middle as well as on the right, he brings some depth to the defensive line. This will come in handy, especially given that Tottenham have a busy October schedule.
If he does get minutes, the Japanese international will become the sixth player aged 21 or under to play a competitive game for Tottenham this season. This shows how Tottenham have been focusing on young players in the current rebuild under Frank.
Getting the duo back will be a massive boost for the North Londoners as they go into the game against Aston Villa.
