Bayern Munich are out of race to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Dusan Vlahovic
Tottenham have received a significant boost in their quest for attacking reinforcement. Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich are now no longer in the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus, with Spurs keeping close tabs on the 25-year-old Serbian international.
Noted German journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X [formerly Twitter] to talk about how Bayern no longer pursue the matter and Vlahovic is not among the players they want for the summer of 2026. His deal with Juve ends the coming summer (Transfermarkt), and they would hope to secure a bit of transfer fee after spending loads of money for him.
Vlahovic’s form since hisransfer from Fiorentina to Juventus in 2022 has failed to match the explosive output that initially propelled him to stardom. At Fiorentina, he netted 49 goals in 114 appearances, showcasing predatory instincts and aerial prowess.

Solo in the race?
In contrast, his Juventus tenure has seen itself marred by inconsistency, yielding 62 goals in 153 outings across all competitions. This season, his struggles persist: two goals in six Serie A starts, with zero assists and seven shots on target. In the UEFA Champions League, he has managed two goals and one assist in two matches, yet his overall conversion rate lags behind expectations for a player of his calibre.
This underwhelming trajectory weakens Juventus’ negotiating leverage, opening the door for Tottenham to press for a discounted deal in January. Something might prove to better than nothing for Igor Tudor too.
For Spurs, Vlahovic represents a pragmatic solution to pressing concerns. Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani’s injury absences have exposed fragility up front, with Richarlison’s future uncertain amid links to MLS and the Saudi Pro League. physicality and finishing, even in subdued form, would enable rotation alongside the other options, especially when the fixtures start flying past us.

Also, if you view this saga from a broader lens, it puts across another message. Bayern bow out of the race to sign a striker ; which means they are pretty secure of their striker situation. That in turn means, the future of their strikers is very secure. In that case, Harry Kane’s potential move to Tottenham might not happen AT ALL. A game of balances.
