Iliman Ndiaye might be on the move in the winter as top Premier League clubs including Tottenham Hotspur circle
If the game against AS Monaco revealed anything, it’s that Tottenham urgently need attacking reinforcements in the January transfer window to close the gap on their rivals. The Lilywhites currently lack that vital ‘X factor’ in the final third, with only Mohammed Kudus consistently posing a threat from the wide areas.
A shortage of creativity and urgency up front is making it difficult for Spurs to find the back of the net with ease. They need someone who can provide competition for Xavi Simons in the No. 10 role and keep the Dutchman sharp and motivated. Tottenham also need to offer Kudus more support in attack, ideally through a player who can take control of games when required and help turn them around.

The recent £100 million cash injection from the Lewis family could prove crucial as the club look to strengthen their squad in January. Tottenham must use those funds wisely to bring a genuine game-changer to N17 this winter if they are serious about building on last season’s Europa League success and competing on multiple fronts this campaign.
Tottenham are interested in signing Everton star Iliman Ndiaye
As the winter transfer window approaches, Spurs should already be identifying targets and opening talks with potential clubs to strike early deals. Proactivity in the market will be key if they hope to keep pace with the Premier League’s top sides. A single quality addition could be the difference between simply competing and truly challenging for honours in the coming months.
As per TEAMtalk, Spurs are keeping tabs on Everton star Iliman Ndiaye and want to bring him to N17 in the winter. The Senegal international is enjoying a productive campaign this season, and the Lilywhites believe he is good enough to play on the big stages regularly. However, the Toffees value him at around £60m and are not willing to lose their star player midway through the season.
The aforementioned report also states that Tottenham face competition for the 25-year-old’s signature. Newcastle United are also monitoring Ndiaye’s progress in Merseyside and would look to make a move for him if he is available at an affordable price. The Magpies also need creativity in the final third of the pitch, and are willing to go toe-to-toe with Spurs for his signature.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Ndiaye. Labelled as “outstanding” by David Moyes, the Senegal international has shown time and again why he is main-man at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Signing a player of his calibre would surely elevate the quality of Tottenham’s attack. The 25-year-old can either play as an attacking midfielder, or as a wide player, and offers some much-needed energy and creativity in the final third of the pitch.
Thomas Frank’s men are nowhere near the required level to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal. So, bringing in a player like Iliman Ndiaye should be a no-brainer if Spurs are serious about competing on all fronts this season and adding more silverware to their trophy cabinet come next summer.
