Tottenham sent scout to Argentina as a sign of keeping Mauricio Pochettino
Tottenham sent scout Steve Hitchen to Argentina, which is a sign that they are keeping Mauricio Pochettino, according to the Daily Mail.
The Argentine has seen his team struggle this season and Spurs
The report claims that Hitchen scouted players in the South American nation, and many see this as a sign that Spurs aren’t looking to replace Pochettino.
Tottenham also have a huge Argentine contingent with Juan Foyth, Erik Lamela, Paulo Gazzaniga and Giovani Lo Celso in the side. Lo Celso hasn’t been able to make a mark this season, but big things are expected from the Argentine star.
No chance of Pochettino losing his job
Pochettino’s job is safe at Tottenham but the players believe he could leave if given a chance (h/t Daily Mail). The report adds that Pochettino’s departure would have to be started by Poch himself.
The Argentine is one of the best in the world and is capable of turning things around at the club. Sacking Pochettino now isn’t the right move and we need to give him the time to get things back on track.
