Twitter reacts as Spurs sell Eriksen and announce Giovani Lo Celso

The 23-year old midfielder has signed a contract that will keep him in North London until 2025. (h/t BBC)

It was one in and one out as the Argentine’s signing comes on the same day that Christian Eriksen departs for Inter Milan.

The club have done well to replace the Danish superstar, who would have left on a free in the summer.

The dual announcements about the departure of Eriksen and the capture of Lo Celso does make for quite a punch. It is never easy losing a player of Eriksen’s calibre but Lo Celso has only gotten better with time.

Lo Celso has appeared in 20 games for us so far in all competitions and registered two goals. He scored the club’s first FA Cup goal at our new stadium against Middlesbrough earlier this month. (h/t Whoscored)
