Tottenham fans react to links with Geoffrey Kondogbia
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who could be available for as less as €30m (h/t Evening Standard).
Kondogbia has been on our club’s radar for quite some time now, with chief scout Steve Hitchen eyeing him as a replacement for Mousa Dembele (h/t Sky Sports).
While the 27-year-old has a release clause of €80m, Valencia could let go of the midfielder for as little as €30m, if they miss out on Champions League football next season (h/t Evening Standard).
Given Tanguy Ndombele’s sub-par displays this season, we could definitely use a player of Kondogbia’s profile next season. The 27-year-old has the potential to be the ideal fit in Jose Mourinho’s team.
And, naturally this has gotten the fans talking about a potential swoop for the former France international, who switched nationalities to the Central African Republic two years ago.
And here are some of our fans thoughts at the possibility of the club signing Kondogbia ahead of next season:
I’ve been so excited since I found out Mourinho wants to sign Kondogbia. Ndombele gets fit and that’s the closest spurs can get back to their Wanyama-Dembele Pivot

Hojberg & Kondogbia ones a Hojberg can tackle & give good passers an read the game well & a great leader & Kondogbia is a monster in both winning the ball & going forward like Dembelle but not as elegant but does the job.. We need a physical an smart midfield duo an this is it.
