Tottenham’s stars have continued training remotely due to the coronavirus lockdown

Brazilian star Lucas Moura is trying to stay in shape, like the rest of the Tottenham stars, during the coronavirus lockdown.

All of Tottenham’s players are under quarantine but they have been training remotely. Although remote training is something not heard of a lot in the past, Moura believes this is going well for the players.

The Brazilian shared his thoughts on this training on the club’s website:

“I think they (the remote sessions) work well for everyone.

“First of all, you see the commitment of everyone. At 11 o’clock in the morning, training very hard to keep for the season because… we don’t know when it will come back, but we need to be ready for it.”

The Premier League will only resume the competition once conditions are safe. Moura also claimed he was missing all the fun of interacting with his teammates on a regular basis:

“I miss playing football and I miss my team-mates. I miss the training ground and I miss our routine of going to the training centre, to play and have a good time with each other. I miss everything.”

Family is safe

While the Brazilian is keeping things in check here, his family is in the South American country. Lucas revealed that although it is a difficult time, his family is safe and they are following all the rules at home.

Lucas also added that he would visit Brazil once a year, but was unsure if that would take place anytime soon.

The 27-year-old needs to stay fit, like the rest of the Spurs stars, should the season resume. It will be interesting to see when the Premier League makes a decision but it should only restart when conditions are safe and sound.

Moura has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists for us this season. However, his efforts haven’t been enough to save our season. We have been knocked out of all cup competitions and need to achieve Champions League football for next season.
