Darren Bent claims Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has three clubs in mind including Tottenham
Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent believes Jack Grealish has three clubs in mind ahead of a possible transfer.
Bent was speaking to Football Insider (h/t Metro) and named Tottenham as one of the clubs that Grealish could choose.
The 24-year-old has nine goals and six assists for Aston Villa this season. However, the Villans are 19th in the Premier League and in danger of relegation.
They are a couple of points off safety and have 10 games left in their campaign. The Premier League has been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, but that hasn’t stopped Bent from suggesting that Grealish has three clubs in his mind (h/t Metro):
“I think Jack Grealish has got his sights set on three teams. I would say probably Manchester United, Manchester City, and potentially maybe Spurs.”
Bent also added that Grealish would be keen on joining one of the clubs.
“I think they’re the three that are looking at him, and he’s eyeing them thinking ‘I’d like to go to one of them’.”
A target for us in the past
Grealish was a target for Spurs in the past and has spoken about his disappointment, with a move failing in 2018 (h/t Telegraph).
Villa were in the Championship then and a £25m move to London failed for the Englishman, according to the report.
Mauricio Pochettino was the manager for us then, and it will be interesting to see if Jose Mourinho follows up with a move this summer.
Tottenham were busy in the winter window, landing a couple of players, but neither of them is a midfielder. We did not replace Christian Eriksen, who joined Inter Milan in January, and Grealish has impressed at Villa.
However, Grealish won’t come on the cheap, with the Metro claiming that Manchester United are plotting a £70million move for the Englishman.

Battling City or United for his signature won’t be easy, and it should be an interesting summer for the 24-year-old.
