Harry Kane urged to copy Francesco Totti as future decision beckons
Reputed journalist Gabriele Marcotti has urged Harry Kane to copy Francesco Totti and stay put at Tottenham Hotspur amid uncertainties surrounding his future. (h/t Express)
Kane sparked all sorts of rumours after he admitted that he might consider leaving Tottenham, if he felt his ambitions weren’t being met by the club. This led to a flurry of interest in the England captain’s services, with the likes of Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid lining up a move. (h/t Express)
However, Italian journalist Marcotti has urged our superstar to follow in the footsteps of Italian legend Francesco Totti and stay with Tottenham. (h/t Express)
Totti is known to be a one-club man, as the Italian legend spent his entire career with AS Roma. There had been plenty of interest in the striker’s services from a number of clubs, but he remained at Roma, even though he won just the solitary Serie A title. (h/t Express)
And Marcotti has advised Kane to follow a similar path in his career, as one title with Tottenham would bring him much more pleasure than ten at a rival club like Manchester United. (h/t Express)
“No, he shouldn’t [leave Spurs]. He should stay where he is if he loves the club. I go back to the Totti thing. One title at Roma or at Tottenham Hotspur is worth ten titles at Manchester United.”

Kane is a product of our club’s academy. He has risen into one of the best strikers in the game over the past five years. His departure, needless to say, would be a huge blow to Tottenham.
So, it is imperative that Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy do their utmost best to show him that the club are headed in the right direction and convince him to stay. Hopefully, he takes up Marcotti’s advice and decides to spend his entire career with our club. After all, he’s one of our own.
