Fraser’s contract with the Cherries is on the verge of expiry. The 26-year-old’s availability on a free transfer has put a number of clubs on high-alert, with recent reports claiming Tottenham too were keen on the Scotsman.
And now, former Leeds United star Danny Mills has backed our club to land the Scotland international. The footballer turned pundit is of the opinion that Fraser would be an ideal fit under our manager Jose Mourinho. (h/t Bournemouth Echo)
“That is exactly the sort of player that Mourinho likes so I would say there is every chance, on a free transfer, that Spurs would sign him.”
Mills further states that Fraser’s availability as a free agent will definitely appeal to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. Moreover, the pundit also reckons that the Scotsman can double up as a left-sided wing-back, which would make him an asset for the team. (h/t Bournemouth Echo)
“They have had issues on the left side and he could be converted into a left-wing back. I think he would be a fantastic option for Tottenham.”
Fraser has been with Bournemouth for over seven years, having arrived from Scottish outfit Aberdeen in January 2013. Till date, the Scotland international has notched up over 200 appearances for the Cherries, bagging 24 goals and 33 assists.

The 26-year-old enjoyed his most prolific season last time out, finishing with 8 goals and 15 assists in 42 matches in all competitions. In the ongoing term, he has churned out a solitary goal and four assists so far.
Fraser’s availability for free, coupled with his age and experience in the top flight, make him an attractive prospect for Tottenham. Hopefully, Mourinho and Levy are able to convince him to make the jump to our club come summer.
