Twitter reacts on third anniversary of Tottenham Hotspur bidding goodbye to White Hart Lane
Today marks exactly three years since Tottenham hotspur bid adieu to their legendary home of White Hart Lane.
A part of the North-London landscape for 118 years, the iconic venue holds important memories to generations of Tottenham fans. The club, however, had to move with the times and decided that a new stadium was what was needed to keep abreast of our rivals.
Although the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a state of the art facility, it lacks the mysticism that surrounded the Lane. Hopefully, in time, it will take the place of our spiritual home.
Tottenham ensured that they left White Hart Lane on a high. The stadium was a fortress during that final season as the club amassed an incredible 53 points out of a possible 57.

Spurs won all but two of their matches at home in the league in our last season there. Only Liverpool and Leicester City took the sheen away from what could have been a perfect sendoff.
It was the first time since the 1964-65 season that we had gone unbeaten at home. We ended it with a club-record 14 straight wins while also being the only team to stay unbeaten in the PL that season. Truly an excellent sendoff.
Fans have taken to Twitter to reminiscence on our former home. We take a look at some of the tweets below.
