Tottenham shares pictures of stadium adorned with flags and banners shared by fans
Premier League football returns to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Friday as the club takes on Manchester United in a crunch clash in the top four race.
While football is set to return, the atmosphere within the stadium will be entirely new as there will be no fans allowed due to the prevalent conditions across the globe.
On the eve of the game, Tottenham issued a statement insisting that the fans’ support within the stadium is irreplaceable, but thanking them for respecting the guidelines and staying at home.
“We are proud of our loyal fan base who we know will find it difficult not to be at the stadium when the team is playing there – we thank you for recognising the importance of following public health guidelines and staying at home.
“You are part of the team and, although your support within the stadium is irreplaceable, for now your position is at home.”
Fans may not be physically present at the stadium, but our club had offered a chance to all supporters to send flags and banners made by them.
The club has received an amazing response for the initiative. And, on the eve of the game, the club shared pictures of the stadium decorated with the banners received from the supporters. And it must be said, the stadium looks absolute class!
Here are some of the pictures shared by our club.
