Tottenham have already made an offer for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, claims Duncan Castles
Speaking on The Transfer Window Podcast (h/t Football.london), journalist Duncan Castles has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have already made an offer for Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Hojbjerg has been heavily linked with a switch to Tottenham over the last month. The 24-year-old Dane is entering the final year of his contract with the Saints. He has no intentions of signing a new contract. As a result, he was even stripped of the club captaincy last week.
It had previously been claimed that Tottenham would have to shell out £35m to sign Hojbjerg. Spurs’ boss Jose Mourinho is even willing to offload four players in order to fund a move for the Danish international.
And now, transfer expert Duncan Castles has claimed that Tottenham have already made an opening offer to secure the services of the former Bayern Munich star. (h/t Football.london)
“They [Southampton], I’m told, have three offers so far for the player, none of them are satisfactory, one extremely low at a financial level, and they have an offer of cash plus players in exchange, which I understand has come from Tottenham Hotspur.”
According to Castles, our club has put forth a player plus cash offer, which Southampton have deemed unsatisfactory. (h/t Football.london)
However, he does not mention which player the club has offered. But it could be likely that it is Kyle Walker-Peters. The defender is currently out on loan at Southampton and the possibility of a swap deal has been talked about in the tabloids before.

Interestingly, Castles also mentions that there are two other offers on the table. So, Tottenham need to act fast and come up with a suitable offer for Hojbjerg.
