Tottenham learn Ibrahim Sangare asking price
According to Foot Mercato (h/t Football.london), Tottenham have been told that they will have to pay up a transfer fee between €8m and €10m in order to sign Ibrahim Sangare from Toulouse.
Sangare joined Toulouse from Ivory Coast outfit AS Denguele in the summer of 2016. Till date, he has turned out 84 times for the French club, scoring two goals and setting up five more. The Ivorian made 25 Ligue 1 appearances in 2019/20 and impressed heavily, although he couldn’t help Toulouse survive the drop.
Initial reports had claimed that Tottenham were lining up a move for Sangare, who could be sold for as much as €15m plus add-ons.
However, as per the latest update, Toulouse seem to have slashed their asking price by almost half, with the French club now looking for an offer between €8m and €10m for the midfielder. (h/t Football.london)
Tottenham have already fortified the midfield department this summer, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg arriving from Southampton. He joins the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele in our midfield unit.
However, with the club now looking to offload Ndombele, bringing in another central midfielder could be a smart move. And Sangare’s valuation makes him an affordable target for the club.

It remains to be seen if there is any progress in the interest in Sangare, now that his asking price has dropped.
At the moment, however, the club should work towards bringing in a new centre forward at the earliest, given the lack of a backup for Harry Kane. At the same time, signing a new centre-back should also be a priority for Jose Mourinho, to fill the void left by Jan Vertonghen’s departure.
