Tottenham eyeing three more transfers claims Fabrizio Romano
Speaking on the Last Word on Spurs podcast (h/t Football.london), reputed journalist and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing three more transfers after having completed three signings already.
Tottenham have seen three players join the club in the ongoing transfer window. Midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was the first one through the doors at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, followed by Joe Hart, who arrived on a free transfer after being released by Burnley.
More recently, the club completed a bargain deal for right-back Matt Doherty from Wolverhampton Wanderers. All three players are proven Premier League quality and haven’t burnt a hole in our pockets either.
And now, journalist Romano has claimed that the club will be eyeing three more additions before the transfer window closes in about a month. (h/t Football.london)
“I think they will go for a centre-back, for sure. I expect them to go for a centre-back on the transfer market. They are also considering the opportunity of a new winger. And absolutely a new striker because they need a back-up option for Harry Kane, so I think this three can be the next signings for Tottenham in the first days of October.”
According to Romano, Mourinho is keen on a new centre-back, which is a given, considering we lost Jan Vertonghen at the end of the season. A new striker is also an urgent requirement considering the lack of cover for Harry Kane.
Finally, Romano believes Spurs are also targeting a new winger, which might not be a top priority currently given the number of options the club already has.

The new season kicks off in just over a week. And ideally, it would have been best if all signings had been done and dusted before that. However, it is only normal for negotiations to drag on. But hopefully we are able to close the deals on a few more players before the window closes.
