Son Heung-min better than Neymar at the moment, claims Jamie O’Hara

Speaking on talkSPORT (h/t Football.london), former Tottenham Hotspur ace Jamie O’Hara has made a bold claim regarding Spurs star Son Heung-min, insisting that he is better than Neymar on current form.

The 28-year-old has been at the club since 2015, having arrived from Bayer Leverkusen. Over the years, he has grown into one of the most impressive and consistent forwards in the Premier League.

And, Son has started the 2020/21 campaign in blazing fashion. So far, the South Korean international has racked up 8 goals in 8 Premier League outings, while registering two assists as well. In addition, he has also scored two goals and assisted three more in the UEFA Europa League (qualifiers included). (h/t Transfermarkt)

Speaking on a debate whether the South Korean international was a world-class player, O’Hara argued in favour of the claim, hailing the Tottenham star’s form and consistency year after year. (h/t Football.london)

“I don’t even know how this is a debate and listening to some of the people saying that he is not world-class is winding me up. He is playing in the best league in the world. He has scored eight goals in [his last] eight games, with two assists. And he has been doing it for a number of seasons now.”

When quizzed whether he considered Son to be better than PSG star and the world’s most expensive footballer Neymar, O’Hara said (h/t Football.london):

“At this moment in time, yes.”
