Tottenham Hotspur fans react as Jose Mourinho completes one year in charge of the club
Today marks the first anniversary of Jose Mourinho taking over the reins at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Portuguese tactician steadied a ship that was wobbling under Mauricio Pochettino. While we may not have had a season to remember, there were glimpses that something special was underway and that we had brought in the right man for the job.
Fast forward a year and results reflect just that. We are now just a point off top spot in the Premier League while also staying alive in all cup competitions.

Spurs arguably have their best squad in Premier League history taking into account both quality and strength in depth. With Mourinho also able to coax out better performance from key stars such as Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min, the sky is the limit.
Mourinho has managed us 50 times so far in all competitions. It entails 27 wins, 10 draws, and 13 losses. In these games, we hold a goal difference of +33 and have earned 1.82 points per game. (h/t Transfermarkt)
While his stats may not reflect the clear extension of the impact he has had, few can argue that Spurs are not a keener and meaner outfit. Adding a trophy should help cement his position in Spurs folklore.
Spurs take on Manchester City this weekend. A test against Pep Guardiola’s side would be an excellent test of how far we have come. We now take a look at how fans reacted to Mourinho completing one year at the club.
