Kurt Zouma, Kai Havertz injury doubts for Tottenham vs Chelsea
According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has claimed that Kurt Zouma and Kai Havertz could miss out for the London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham will welcome local rivals, Chelsea, on Thursday night. Having lost our last two matches, it is imperative that we bounce back to winning ways, that too against a potential top-four rival.
And there is some good news for Tottenham as the Blues will be without two star players in the form of Kai Havertz and Kurt Zouma for the clash, as confirmed by Tuchel in his pre-match press conference. (h/t Evening Standard)
“We have had two little issues. Kurt Zouma and Kai Havertz went off today with little issues. They are being checked now. Everybody else is available.”
Zouma has not started in Chelsea’s first two games in the Thomas Tuchel era. Havertz did feature in his first game in charge against Wolves but did not start against Burnley at the weekend.
The Blues have also treated some good news on the injury front, though, with Hakim Ziyech set to return. The Moroccan was absent from their most recent game against Burnley but has declared himself 100 per cent fit for the derby.
