Son Heung-min to pen new Tottenham contract before next season
Son has been with Tottenham since 2015, having signed from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen. The 28-year-old has grown into one of our best players, along with Harry Kane, and is one of the top attackers in the Premier League.
So far during his time at the club, Son has gone on to make 271 appearances banging in 103 goals while also registering 63 assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The ongoing campaign has been a brilliant one for Son, who has plundered 18 goals and 16 assists from 42 games across all competitions. Although his form has tailed off a bit of late, his partnership with Harry Kane has been the biggest positive for Spurs this term.
Son, as things stand, is contracted with Tottenham till the summer of 2023. Speculations of a new contract have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. But a deal is yet to be agreed upon. However, that could be set to change in the coming weeks. (h/t Football.london)
Indeed, it is being claimed that Son will soon sign an extension with the club, with the deal expected to be wrapped up before the next season kicks off.
