Transfer News: Tottenham make first contact to sign Sasa Kalajdzic
According to news from FussballTransfers.com, Tottenham have made contact to secure the transfer of VfB Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic in the summer window.
Kalajdzic has been with Stuttgart since the summer of 2019. Having helped the club to promotion back to Bundesliga, the towering striker has enjoyed a fine debut season in the German top-flight thus far.
Indeed, Kalajdzic has plundered 14 goals from 27 league games and has four assists to go along with as well. His form for the newly-promoted team has been enough to attract the interest of a host of club in Germany and Europe, with Tottenham being one among them. (h/t Eurosport)
Now, it is being said that Tottenham have already made an approach to sign the 23-year-old Austrian striker from VfB Stuttgart in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham could be in the need of a new striker heading into next season. While rumours about the future of Harry Kane continue to do the rounds, Spurs are firm on their stance that he will not be sold. However, the club could need a backup for him given as Carlos Vinicius’ loan deal comes to an end when the 2020/21 campaign comes to a close. (h/t Eurosport)
Kalajdzic, to that end, can be a handy addition, with his towering presence making him an ideal target man for Jose Mourinho’s team. And, Spurs are already said to have made the first approach to secure his transfer but face competition from RB Leipzig who have also initiated contact. (h/t FussballTransfers.com)
