Transfer News: Tottenham renew interest in Arkadiusz Milik
According to transfer news from Tuttosport (h/t Sport Witness via Express), Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs interested in signing Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik in the summer window.
Milik had been linked with a move to Tottenham in the summer last year but a move failed to materialise. However, heading into the upcoming transfer window, the Lilywhites could decide to rekindle their interest in the 27-year-old this summer.
Milik is currently plying his trade with French club Olympique de Marseille, having signed for them from Serie A side Napoli in January earlier this year, on an eighteen-month loan deal, which also comes with an obligation to make the transfer permanent.
In his short time with the club, Milik has made a solid impression, bagging 10 goals and setting up one more in just 16 games across all competitions. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Despite his loan deal running till 2022, clubs are lining up to sign Milik in the upcoming transfer window, with Tottenham Hotspur also said to be among those interested in the Polish international. (h/t Express)
Tottenham’s interest in Milik makes a great deal of sense as uncertainty reigns over the future of star man Harry Kane. The England captain has informed the club that he wants to leave this summer, in search of silverware. And, should he end up sealing an exit from the club, the Lilywhites are contemplating a move for Milik. (h/t Express)

Even if Kane does stay, moving for someone like Milik would be a good move. With Carlos Vinicius’ loan move done and dusted, we will need another centre-forward in the squad and Milik would be a fine option to call upon.
