Harry Kane remains the top target for Man City despite Jack Grealish plans
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane remains the top target for Manchester City despite their interest in Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
Earlier on Friday, ESPN reported that Manchester City were close to signing Grealish from Aston Villa in a deal worth £100m. Sky Sports adds to that report claiming that City are yet to make an approach for the 25-year-old but are planning a formal offer of the aforementioned value once the UEFA Euro 2020 is out of the way.
However, the report also goes on to add that despite the huge outlay that the Premier League champions are planning for Grealish, signing a centre-forward remains their top priority this summer and Harry Kane their top target, along with Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund.
Kane’s future has been a topic of intense speculation over the past couple of months with Manchester City showing great interest in him as they look for a replacement for club legend Sergio Aguero.
In fact, Sky Sports reported earlier this week that the 2020/21 Premier League champions had even launched a £100m bid for the England captain earlier in the week. The Cityzens were also willing to add a player as part of the deal to convince Tottenham to part ways with their prolific superstar. Spurs, though, are not willing to entertain any such offers.

At a time when many clubs are struggling financially, it does amaze that Manchester City are in a position to make a £100m bid for Kane and plan a similar offer for Grealish in the same window. But, then, they are a club with the deepest of pockets. So, their pursuit of the Aston Villa captain is unlikely to deter their interest in Kane.
