Tottenham centre-back Davinson Sanchez close to an exit
Speaking with Caracal Radio (h/t Football.london), the agent of Davinson Sanchez stated that they have been in talks regarding a potential transfer move away from Tottenham.
The Colombian centre-back has an uncertain future at Spurs, and in a bid to resolve it, the 25-year-old’s agent has been in talks with Sevilla over a move this summer.
Sanchez was initially offered to Sevilla as a part of bringing Jules Kounde to Spurs, but the deal failed after the Frenchman rejected the opportunity to play for the North London club.
However, with Kounde now close to joining London rivals Chelsea, Sevilla’s interest in Davinson Sanchez may not be a shock for many. And speaking with Caracal Radio (h/t Football.london), Sanchez’s agent said:
“Yes, I have spoken to the people of Sevilla, but at the moment, they have a full squad. If a transfer happens on their part, those rumours could be true, but concretely there is nothing, only talks.”
Sanchez featured only 18 times for Spurs in the Premier League last season, and with the arrival of new boss Nuno Espirito Santo, it remains to be seen whether the Colombian would be in the plans of the new boss.
Moreover, the new Director of Football Fabio Paratici is also keen on signing Atalanta centre-back Cristian Romero this summer while according to CalcioMercato (h/t Football.london), Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu could join Tottenham soon.
However, given that Tottenham have already lost the experience of Toby Alderweireld at the back following his departure to Qatari side Al-Duhail, Spurs should be cautious of losing another centre-back this summer.

Without Davinson Sanchez, Spurs would only have the likes of Joe Rodon, Eric Dier, Japhet Tanganga, and Cameron Carter-Vickers. Thus, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will be interested in letting Davinson Sanchez leave the club this summer.
