Tottenham confirm Premier League squad for 2021-22 season
According to Football.london, Tottenham have finalised on their Premier League squad for the ongoing 2021-22 season. The initial squad has 22 players with a separate list for the U-21, academy players and players who are out on loans.
One look at Tottenham’s squad for the season and one thing is clear. The club are going through a transition with more young players coming in while ageing players moved out. Stalwarts such as Toby Alderweireld, Moussa Sissoko and so on moved out to be replaced by the likes of Cristian Romero, Bryan Gil, etc.
With the transfer window closed, Spurs had to submit their Premier League squad for the season. There were no surprises, to be honest in terms of inclusions or exclusions. A 22-man squad was announced which had the senior players while another list was there for younger players. Here is the confirmed squad.
Goalkeepers: Brandon Austin, Pierluigi Gollini, Hugo Lloris
Defenders: Ben Davies, Eric Dier, Matt Doherty, Emerson Royal, Tobi Omole, Sergio Reguilon, Joe Rodon, Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga.
Midfielders: Dele Alli, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks.
Forwards: Steven Bergwijn, Son Heung-min, Harry Kane, Lucas Moura.
If one is worry why players such as Oliver Skipp, Ryan Sessegnon, Bryan Gil and co. are not there, it is because they are on the other list. On-loan players such as Troy Parrott and Pape Sarr are also on that list in the event that they are recalled and they can be eligible to play in the League.
