Fans react as Tottenham lose 3-0 to Chelsea in London derby

Tottenham Hotspur’s week went from bad to worse as they succumbed to a disappointing 0-3 defeat to local rivals Chelsea at home on Sunday evening in the Premier League.

Coming into the game on the back of a 3-0 loss to Crystal Palace and a UECL draw against Rennes, Nuno Espirito Santo & co. were in need of a win. And the Lilywhites started the game well, showing good intensity in the first half to keep Chelsea in check as the two teams went in at half-time at 0-0.

However, it was a whole different story after the break as the energy levels dropped, allowing Chelsea to cruise to a thumping win. Thiago Silva started the rout with a headed effort early after the restart before N’Golo Kante’s deflected effort found the back of the net to put the game to bed.

Antonio Rudiger then added a late third to rub more salt on the wounds as Tottenham failed to win their third game in a row across all competitions. The second half display was timid and listless from Spurs, which raised questions over the team’s fitness levels.

Fans, naturally, were far from pleased with what they saw from their players on the afternoon on their home turf. And here’s how some of them reacted to the timid display from Nuno’s men against Chelsea in yet another derby defeat.
